About me
I am a freelance illustrator and designer based in Paris. I have completed my first graphic novel at the beginning of 2020, which will be published next year by 'ça et là'. I am currently working on a second project in collaboration with two journalists for the publishing house Steinkis, to come out at the end of this year.
I recently collaborated on a communal project with a group of international artists to create a work that reflects the pandemic and its effect on societies around the world. My contribution was an animated sequence in which I illustrated words that turn into drawings, and vice versa, and meld into each other. (I can send you a copy of my clip, if you would like).
My primary professional aspiration is to be able to support myself completely through my work as an illustrator. I would love to be able to gain further experience in working with others, particular in motion pictures (television, video, film), as I enjoy working with moving images and sound.
Some of the writers, film makers, artists, etc. whom I admire are Haruki Murakami, Sally Rooney, Albert Camus, F Scott Fitzgerald, Toni Morrison, David Foenkinos, Jun Tanizaki; filmmakers are Michelangelo Antonioni, Stanley Kubrick, Jordan Peele, Sofia Coppola, Claire Denis, Akira Kurosawa, Zhang Yimou, Takeshi Kitano; painters include Elizabeth Peyton, Kathe Köllwitz, Lucian Freud, Luc Thuymans, Mats Gustafson, René Gruau, Aurélie de la Morinerie, Shizuo Fujimori, Wu Guanzhong...
