To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Caroline O'Donoghue, and I am an experienced entertainment journalist with a strong background in creating and editing digital and print content. I am also a recent English graduate, leaving University with a 2ndDegree Honours.

Through my experiences as a journalist, I have acquired a number of skills that I believe will serve me immeasurably in the role of Copywriter at your company. Professional writing has honed my ability to create and self-edit copy that is not only flawless in terms of grammar, punctuation and syntax, but more importantly has taught me to create copy that is clean, likeable and succinct.

If I can boast anything with certainty, it is that I am a self-starter. Although I only graduated from University College Cork in August 2011, I have been published in a number of newspapers and websites. I am also the creator of Work in Prowess, a highly successful blog. This success has brought me sizeable freelance opportunities, for which I am very fortunate.

My desire to work in Copywriting is fuelled not only by the stability of the role (in comparison to journalism) but also the challenges it represents daily. There is something immensely satisfying about being handed a topic that you must provide intelligent copy on, despite knowing hardly anything about it yourself.

I am hardworking and determined by nature, and I can promise that my ability to create sharp material for your company will not waver.
