About me

I wish to pursue a career in Graphic Design as I have developed a great deal of interest within this field as well as gaining valuable experiences throughout my studies and employment. I have graduated with A-Level III in a Communication course with a strong desire to work in a creative environment and hold vital skills and knowledge for graphic design software. I have a great interest in media; especially in television, film post-production, music and 3D animation including all types of media, especially related to video clips and animation movies are also of huge interest to me.Currently I have gained considerable experience whilst working as a sales assistant in Paperchase Whiteleys as well as being held responsible during the absence of my manager. Throughout this position, I have acquired not only skills but vital product knowledge such as product merchandising, ranges, launches and designs according to each season and age/gender group, customer service, improving sales (ATVâ€(TM)s, add-on sales etc), working as a team and dealing with customer inquiries.I have obtained a valuable five years experience as a designer including working by contracts and freelance plus eight months of work experience. This involved working through advertising agencies and assisting art directors, which enabled me to gain an invaluable insight into the advertising/media process with hands on experience, as well as working to short deadlines, briefing ideas, creating different design concepts and layouts and dealing with the clients. I have also completed a work placement in England as a graphic designer within the Loughborough College IT department.As a graphic designer I have valuable IT skills with Microsoft and Macintosh operating systems and software such as the Adobe programs, including video production and post-production. My 3D work includes creating sceneries, organic modelling and animating characters on 3D Studio Max during my free time.
