About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I wish to apply for the position photographer administrator as advertised on indeed. I graduated in 2012 with a BA in photography from Canterbury Christchurch University. I have developed my photographic skills since leaving University in several ways including studio and location work, with models and products. I particularly enjoy making different studies of landscapes and I have recently developed my effectiveness within macro photography.
From December 2012 - July 2014 I worked at Asda, this included 8 months in the photo centre. I engaged with the customers and assisted them, if needed, with their photographs. I also cleaned and maintained the photographic equipment and changed the paper on a regular basis. From the 1st August 2014 till 19th September 2014 I worked as a Product Photographer for Storm Creative. This job entailed taking photographs for Choice Discount Stores new website. I took photographs of shoes, make-up and clothes on a mannequin and on a female model, in a basic studio setting. To improve the quality of the images I learnt skills in positioning the object, basic pinning skills and how to use tethering software. I was also required to take photographs of the interior and exterior of two of their stores, one in Rayleigh and the other in Chatham.
On the 30th and 31st of October 2014 I took photographs of children and families who attended a Halloween event at Wat Tyler Country park.
I am competent in using basic Photoshop editing, although I am still developing my skills in this area.
I am reliable, trustworthy and hardworking. I work well under pressure as proven in both of my photography jobs, both at Asda, ensuring the customer gets their photos printed on time for collection, and also meeting deadlines for completing photo shoots ready to be edited for Choice. I work well on my own or as part of a team.
I will gladly expand on any of these points and I will show you my portfolio if granted an interview.
Kind Regards
Carole Stamp
