About me

Once the cover boy for the World Cub Scouts Association's magazine (circa 1992/93), Jersey-born Marc sacrificed boy band stardom and the opportunity to appear on the cover of Just Seventeen, for a career as a young media mogul. Something he doesn't regret to this very day (OK, maybe a little).

At the end of 2004, 25-year-old Marc founded Se7en - an award-winning print and online magazine (supported by Time Out and Dame Anita Roddick), which interviewed Christian Bale, George Clooney, Keanu Reeves, Iman, and Vampire Weekend. Marc brought the project to a close in late 2010.

Between 2005 and 2011 he worked as a contractor editor for orange.co.uk's websites, most notably helping to boost the statistics of its Cars website by nearly 200%.

In the summer of 2011, Marc launched Fotorater.com, an online photography and trends publication. The website features interviews with leading photographers and showcases the work of up-and-coming photographers and artists. Leading online publications/web presences such as Ashton Kutcher's Twitter and Facebook pages and Jalopnik have linked to articles featured on Fotorater.com.

As the Director of Digital for legendary publisher Felix Dennis, Marc oversaw the launch of five websites within his first four months. He also made the decision to migrate all of Felix's digital assets onto a leading website server and helped to update felixdennis.com to the latest version of WordPress. Other achievements included the recategorisation of Felix's online poetry catalogue (1,350 poems), working with developers to fix preexisting issues with the site, and making updates to the site.

Marc Cameron's also the co-creator of web phenomenon the Light Graffiti Cars - featured in the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and Top Gear.

And he's one of the youngest ever people to appear in the Observer Magazine's The Innovator section.
