About me
A recent graduate of Graphic Design at Shillington College London, I am currently looking for a placement and would love the opportunity to come show you my work. I am passionate about Graphic Design and studying at the College I learnt the basic principles of design. The course structure is designed to be as close to a working studio as possible with brief turn arounds of up to 3 days and an none stop intensive approach to design.
Whilst studying at Shillington I also discovered the importance of problem solving in design. The fact that a design only works if it answers all the questions put forward by the brief as well as being aesthetically pleasing. It is this that interest me most about the industry, both in practise and as an observer, trying to find the story in a design is one of the most satisfying pleasures, like completing a hipster puzzle. I am now addicted and spend most evening surfing through 'YCN,' 'Its Nice That,' 'The Die Line' and many other design based sites.
Skills
Throughout my studies I became competent with MS Office suite and MAC applications., I have a middling understanding of adobe illustrator and photoshop., Skilled user of internet, intranets to complete research., Ability to use the phone whilst navigate a computer., high presentational skills., oratory abilities., research., phone skills and ability to multitask., ability to work to a deadline., good drawing, painting and printing ability., some understanding of bookbinding.
