About me

Hi

I am a graphic designer / private tutor, who has been in business for 12 years on and off. I did not have the financial backing to persevere with Graphic Design full time. I have 11 years sales experience too.

I produce various items, such as brochures, leaflets, flyers, logos, newsletters, business cards, point of sale, anything really, apart from web sites. I am very committed to my clients and always keep to deadlines. I use Photoshop to work my magic. I have used Illustrator, Quark and Paint shop pro in the past.

I have also taught Digital Imaging for several years as well as MS office. Designing is in my blood, I love it!

Skills

After achieving my BSc Hons. QTS, in Design & Technology, I went into teaching. I have done 7 years studying at college / university in D & T, Graphic Design HND, Art & Design BTEC, NWRAC, A level + numerous ICT qualifications...22 quals. in total! , I am determined to do well and love new challenges. I am very good at visualising new concepts and coming up with new ideas. Deadlines are always met without fail, (so far)! I am extremely reliable and will not let you down.

Sector Experience

Inbetween teaching, I have still done designing for various clients. I have produced a brochure for Lancaster Farms. I was working with a TV producer and a designer, collecting stories / poems, producing and designing work that had been written by the inmates. It was a massive project to complete inbetween teaching 7 hours a day. I managed to complete it in 3 weeks...a big achievement! As well as this, I have produced a Point of Sale display for ancestry posters, leaflets, posters, flyers, business cards, letter heads, logos, and a fortnightly newsletter at the prison. (No web site set ups, just the designs for them), I haven't worked in a design studio, but I have the skills and experience to produce excellent designs.
