My name is Caity Tanner and I am an American based, hard-working, and enthusiastic Jack-of-all-trades creative! I am eager to get in touch with people about some potential work roles.
A little background on me: I started in this industry back in 2015 when I took a scenic painting and fabrication job building large installments for theme parks such as Funderland in Sacramento, CA, Universal Studios, a scientifically accurate museum piece, and more! It was here that I learned the backbone of the industry and where I became passionate about this being my career. After that, I had a few contracted projects, including designing and building escape rooms and functional props with the use of magnetic locks and programming, working for Broadway in Sacramento building props, designing and dressing sets, building life-sized puppets, running, and directing interns. While in the UK, I took on a couple of small, contracted projects for TV adverts, including this year's Great British Bakeoff's Dr. Oetker advert, and a small model for Samsung. I gained a lot of background knowledge in theatre, and love jobs where I am staying busy and can constantly be learning new tasks.
Besides the technical aspect of being a designer, painter, and builder, I possess many other traits that would make me suitable for your company. Since I have gained my experience through hands-on trial and error, I find myself being a great candidate for learning any, and all, departments in this field. I'm passionate, driven, and hit the ground in a sprint when given the opportunity to learn new skills and can pick up on them quickly and efficiently. I work well independently as well as on a team, and I excel when in a fast-paced environment. I'm extremely positive and take constructive criticism with grace (in fact, I welcome it. It's how we improve!).
