Dear Sir/Madam

I am applying for the junior graphic designer position as advertised on creativepool. I feel that I am the right candidate for this job as I have just graduated from the Arts University College at Bournemouth with a BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree and have a keen interest in Branding and Advertising.

Throughout my degree I have acquired design skills in logo and identity, campaign and marketing, book design, digital illustration and basic animation and web design. Whilst gaining these design skills I have improved my knowledge and skills of Adobe CS5 Photoshop, Adobe CS5 Indesign, Adobe CS5 Illustrator and basic skills on Adobe CS5 Flash.

I am a quick learner and willing to improve my knowledge and skill set. I have previously worked in retail. Whilst doing so I have gained knowledge and understanding of how these companies work. For example I have worked for companies such as Marks & Spencer's and Monsoon Accessorize. Whilst working at these companies I was able to learn how these companies were run and how they wanted to portray themselves through branding and advertising to the public. Ultimately, after experiencing this I have realised that I want to become part of the industry that creates brands, logos and advertisements for such companies.

I hope to become part of your design team in the future, which will allow me to utilise the skills and knowledge I have acquired through my degree and work experience.
