About me
I am currently employed for Johnson & Johnson in the Packaging & Artwork department as an artworker and packaging assistant, and after 6 years as permanent staff I am also employed as a freelancer for Sky Sports in the Studio Graphics department. As a Visual Communication Design graduate I am keen to be involved in designing and using my creative skills to their potential. I am a good listener and a creative thinker and have strong PC/Mac design and animation skills. With a traditional drawing and painting background,
I have a strong illustration portfolio but also have various animations and examples of work created in Photoshop and Illustrator.
My current role for J&J is to artwork and retouch all product images for the UK image library (such as Listerine and Benylin) and to design posters for the marketing team. I also assist the packaging technologists with any artwork queries they may have and check all artwork before it goes to the printers to make sure it's print ready.
For Sky Sports I create graphics that are used on television in live studio environments. As early Shift Leader in Sports News, I organise, create and put to air graphics that can need constant updating and amending. I am used to working under pressure and working as part of a team to get the best looking and presentable images to air in very short timescales, sometimes minutes. Attention to detail, layout, visual impact and short deadlines are all daily necessities.
