About me

A well known, respected and active member of the aerospace engineering community, Bob Stirling has over 25 years of experience working in major aerospace companies in the UK, Canada and the USA, including (using present-day company names) BAE Systems, Bombardier, Boeing, and Airbus. He has held academic positions as Lecturer and Research Fellow in the University of Bristol Department of Aerospace Engineering. His aircraft engineering expertise lies in the analysis, modeling and simulation of flight control systems and actuation systems, specialising in integrated aeroservoelastic analysis for commercial and military aircraft.

Going on to establish Stirling Dynamics in 1987, with the initial purpose of delivering aerospace and marine research consultancy to the UK MoD, today Stirling Dynamics employs around 170 staff at seven locations. The company provides specialist capabilities and technologies which enhance the value of OEMs and Systems Integrators' products on a global basis.
