Published

Bluemarlin has won a Pentaward for its work in creating charitable condiment brand Forces Sauces. The 2014 Pentawards ceremony took place last night in Tokyo, Japan.

One of the most prestigious awards schemes in the brand design industry, the Pentawards recognises creative excellence in packaging design at an international level. Apart from prize giving, the organisation’s mission is the promotion of packaging design with companies, the press, the economic and political authorities and the public in general, throughout the world.

Judges were impressed by Forces Sauces’ integrated graphic and structural design. Bedecked in the colours of the three arms of the British Armed Forces, the pack features an iconic, proprietary ‘soldiering’ bottle, military-style graphics, and punchy on-pack copy. The design brings to life Forces Sauces’ unique charitable proposition to donate money from every bottle sold to veteran support organisations.

Having already collected numerous accolades including a pair of Marketing Design Awards and a Starpack Silver, this Pentaward brings the total number of honours bluemarlin has won for Forces Sauces, to six.

Bluemarlin Bath’s Account Director Norma Gray who attended the ceremony in Japan’s capital said: “Winning a Pentaward is particularly pleasing as it shows that bluemarlin’s creative is of a world-class standard. We’re an international agency, working with brands across the globe and this award highlights our success in doing that. Although Forces Sauces is only sold in Britain, the Pentaward’s judges have recognised the international potential of our packaging design.”
