Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to let you know of my keen interest in a graphic design role that your company is looking for.

I am now writing to apply for a job opportunity in your company to gain practical insights into the actual field as well as to enhance my capability to work in graphic design area.

I completed a MA degree in Graphic Design at London College of

Communication where enabled me to gain in-depth knowledge about the designing process based on academic research in December 2010.

I am very passionate about interaction design for e-book and mobile devices, and also web design. Since studying about editorial design, with my interests, I frequently participated in various projects involved in compiling collection books of students' works as an editor, and designed them focusing on the intended concept in consideration of all design elements.

Also, as an amateur photographer, I was able to contribute images, mainly photographs taken by myself, to all my graphic design works which usually require high quality and unique images.

Those experience were all valuable to acquire practical knowledge about the actual publishing process.

As my MA final project, The Guardian iPad Newspaper application, I have keen interests in e-book, e-newspaper and e-magazine which seem to have enormous potential for the upcoming future publishing industry.

With regard to work experience, during my BA, I was involved in an advertising design group for design competitions. In those periods, I learnt how to deal with group works, deadlines and working under pressure, and I won several design competitions.

A short term internship in a graphic design company was the first experience I worked in the real design industry. It was very rewarding to learn many practical tasks that I could only learn from such major companies.

Working in London as a graphic designer will be fantastic for my career.
