I have just viewed your job vacancy for 'Junior Designer / Digital Designer for BML Creative' on indeed and would like to be considered for this position. I have recently completed my final year and I graduated in July 2015 with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) with Second Class Honours First Division in Media Technology and Production at the University of Bradford. I believe I have the necessary skills, experience and knowledge to take on the role and contribute to your organisation.
As seen on my CV, I have developed a wide range of skills throughout my time at university, ranging from working well within a team to creating professional pieces on different media platforms. For the past few years, I have been voluntarily working for a local rock band, producing promotional pieces in order to learn new and more creative techniques and to build my skills as a graphic designer. This experience has been very helpful for me as a graphic designer as I saw major improvements throughout the years and successfully worked alongside team members in university in order to create pieces that were acceptable to the project which had been set for us.
My role as the Graphic Designer in the final year project was to create promotional pieces for the short film that we were creating. The pieces consisted of the film's official posters and DVD cover. Additional work included taking promotional photography and graphics for the film's website. The pieces were received with many positive reviews, with the work being praised as pieces that could be made for an official feature film. These experiences have been very enjoyable and rewarding in terms of my position as a graphic designer and my enthusiasm and love for the role will be very useful for this position. I am also very open to learning new techniques and software in order to improve and build my skills. Alongside graphic design, hand drawn illustrations have been a huge passion of my mine since I was young. To be able to create graphic design pieces and hand drawn illustrations would be a dream job. I believe my skills, especially my experience in creating and drawing characters and graphic design pieces during my second and third year University projects would make me an ideal match for this position.
I would consider working for your company as I am passionate about creating and designing graphic pieces. Designing graphic pieces for me are enjoyable and I believe that as long as you enjoy your job, you will get the best out of it.
