About me

I am applying for this role as I have a great love and interest in the world of print and surface design, as well as the relevant qualifications; BA (Hons) printed textiles and surface design. Upon studying in this field, I have gained insight and knowledge of various printing methods including, traditional print methods. As well as possessing screen-printing skills, I have the skills for digital print design using Adobe Photoshop. I am also currently self-teaching Adobe Illustrator, which I would be willing to learn if necessary.

I am very professional and can communicate my ideas and thoughts when needed which I believe to be important qualities to possess. I am able to multi task between responsibilities, which have been demonstrated in my previous university projects where I was working under pressure and to tight deadlines. It is also present in my current sales advisor job where prioritising the customer over other tasks is important; similarly I would be able to prioritise client projects over daily duties.

In addition to the skills that I possess, I like to stay aware of current colour and print trends by following relevant companies on social media, such as Twitter and Pinterest as well as subscribing to 'LivingEtc' magazine publication. I believe these would aid in bringing fresh, new and exciting ideas to the drawing board.

As well as this, I hope to gain experience working in the industry and furthering my knowledge and skills to a very high and professional standard as well as learning new skills.
