About me

My initial gateway into copywriting was through journalism. Having earned a living as a singer/songwriter in numerous bands for almost a decade, in 2009 I decided to try my hand at the other end of the musical spectrum; critiquing. After a few years spent as a freelance music journalist, this eventually led to a career in copywriting.

My writing is insightful, crisp, compelling, often laced with acerbic humour (when called for) and always 100% honest. My years as a journalist helped shaped the copy that would later earn me a role at Creativepool, the creative industry web portal, where I am still a chief contributor.

I am, however, as a freelancer, always on the lookout for additional challenges that will make the best use of my existing skills and experience and also further my personal development.

Outside of writing copy, I am also still a keen musician. My previous bands; Dead Letter Office and Rubicava, allowed me to live as a semi-professional musician for a time. My current bands; White Noise Cinema and Savestate, are more casual projects. I am also currently writing my first novel.
