About me
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am currently looking for a role as a designer within the marketing and advertising industry, I have over 15 months experience in this field and feel that I have learnt a lot in this time and would love to continue to develop as a designer.
I have experience in working with Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Final Cut Pro, Audacity, Microsoft office and Prezi. I also have knowledge of HTML, PHP and creating email newsletters and am an avid social media user with an understanding of different social media platforms. Alongside this I am a keen photographer and filmmaker with experience of professional photography. Although I studied film at university, I have always been fascinated by creative design that I have shown through my extracurricular activities, such as helping to promote my cheerleading and netball teams through the use of flyers, films, presentations, fundraising events and even a flash mob or two!
My most recent role is as a full-time designer and assistant for a destination and experiential marketing company in Central London. Here, I have worked alongside some major global brands such as Jo Malone, SSE and have worked very closely with 20th Century Fox and my work has been featured at events for these companies. Prior to this i was appointed as a junior designer in the marketing department for a selection of leisure companies and contract publications. I was able to demonstrate my skills over a range of different platforms; including print, digital, web and film. My work here involved the creation of logos, posters, brochures and the designing of magazine and newspaper pages, plus much more.
I am an ambitious individual who is always up for a challenge and am happy to take on any task thrown my way. I enjoy working both individually and as a part of a team, and cope well under pressure. I have good verbal and written skills as proved through essays and presentations at university. I believe that all of these skills could be developed and exhibited through working for a successful company.
