About me

I am an experienced and creative designer with a history of working in the arts having worked for the publisher Thames & Hudson for seven years as an in-house publicity & promotions designer and book cover designer. I believe the main purpose of my role as a designer is to bring a great idea to life, creatively and aesthetically. As a jacket designer I worked on a range of titles from art, design and photography through to biography, literature, archaeology and natural history, I worked on titles from initial concepts through to final art and production and collaborated closely with editors, picture researchers, authors and the production department. My current position of a self employed freelance designer has enabled me to work under pressure in an organised manner whilst also giving me the opportunity to understand the importance of adaptability, resilience, hard work and self confidence. It has given me the skills to create and problem-solve under my own initiative.
