About me
I'm Bethany Lovekin, a Visual Communications graduate and creative professional with a passion for design-led storytelling, content creation, and social media strategy. My creative journey began at Dudley College, where I achieved a D*D*D in Art & Design and explored a wide range of disciplines including graphic design, photography, textiles, ceramics, glass and 3D design. This hands-on foundation shaped my ability to think visually and adapt across different creative mediums.
I went on to graduate with a 2:1 in Visual Communications from the University of Wolverhampton, where I developed strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and collaborated on live briefs with agencies such as DRPG and Top Banana. During my studies, I won a portfolio review with Top Banana Design Agency, strengthening my confidence in presenting ideas and responding to real-world creative challenges.
Since graduating, I've gained over a year of agency experience at Venture Beyond in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, working across video editing, creative assistance, production and social media content creation. I've worked both on and off set, supported production teams, built sets from briefs, managed talent and content creator databases, and collaborated closely with post-production teams to develop high-performing ads. Alongside this, I streamlined workflows, organised assets, created on-trend designs using Canva and Photoshop, and helped standardise brand guidelines.
Along side this, I took on the role of Feed Creation, designing and coordinating daily posts for multiple client channels. To do this successfully, my time management had to be impeccable to ensure both roles were fulfilled to a high standard and met tight deadlines.
I currently work at Colmore Media as a Social Media Manager, where I manage end-to-end social media strategies for multiple clients across a range of industries. My role includes planning, creating and scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok, writing on-brand copy, analysing performance, and working closely with clients to develop campaigns and content calendars.
I'm passionate about visual storytelling, social-first content, and creating work that connects with audiences in a meaningful way. I love blending creativity with strategy, staying on top of trends, and collaborating with others to bring ideas to life — whether that's through design, video, or social media campaigns.
