About me

I'm a freelance graphic designer specialising in book cover design.

I started out working in small London design agencies over 25 years ago before moving to Thames & Hudson as their press & publicity designer. After a few years I moved over to their book department, designing covers for non-fiction titles across the arts, architecture, design, photography, fashion, film and music, and also archaeology, history and popular culture.
After 6 years of designing in-house, I left to set up on my own, as BatDesign. I continue to work as a freelance designer for Thames & Hudson and other small publishers while also working as head of design for the non profit organisation NAM aidsmap.

Away from book covers, I enjoy photographing rubbish instagram.com/bethtunnicliffe
