Personal Assessment

I am a highly creative and adaptable creative artworker / graphic designer with over 10 years' experience. I enjoy working as part of a team, pooling and exchanging ideas and abilities to meet deadlines but I am also confident and self-motivated working on my own initiative.

I am adept in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Strata 3D, Quark Xpress and Acrobat, with additional experience in Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Microsoft Office programmes. I also have a basic understanding of XHTML / CSS as I have recently studied website design and development with The Open University.

I am a very loyal, reliable and trustworthy person who is always keen to learn and advise others. I am a very hard worker with a keen eye for detail, keeping calm under pressure.

My previous positions have seen me working closely with clients such as Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Next, Coca Cola and Marks and Spencer. During my time as a creative artworker and graphic designer my responsibilities have included liaising with clients and following client specific guidelines to create artwork for packaging, promotion and point of sale. I have also operated and maintained pre-press equipment as well as performed general I.T. duties including system archiving and maintaining computer networks.

I am currently self-employed as owner and operator of Indigraphic, a small freelance design business based in Dagenham, Essex. I work directly with other small or start-up businesses establishing corporate styles and branding as well as designing brochures, business cards, letterheads, leaflets, logos, promotional HTML newsletters and Flash advertisement banners. This requires me to liaise with clients during the design process to ensure briefs are followed accurately, as well as overseeing the final production print process to maintain that the finished product is produced to a satisfactorily high standard. Clients I am currently responsible for include; The Bowskill Clinic, Finance 4 Business and Panther Print and Design.

Being self-employed has given me an opportunity to establish myself as an independent company. I am able to manage and have full control over the running of general administration, finance and management duties. As well as client liaison, concept development, final artworking and print management, I am also able to provide design implementation and consultancy.

I have a full UK drivers licence and I am available to start immediately.
