Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Ben Leeming and I am a graduate of the University of Salford with a first-class degree in Professional Sound & Video Technology. I am writing to you today in regard to the Project Assistant role with Creative Resource. I would like to put myself forward for consideration, as I believe my enthusiasm, technical ability and drive to succeed make me an ideal candidate.
When I found your job advertisement I was immediately excited by the prospect of working with a creative team in an industry I know I can thrive in. I have been working as a runner in the television industry, gaining experience with the BBC, Chief Productions and dock10. During this time I have developed excellent communication and organisational skills, as I must always be ready facilitate the tasks that will keep any given production on schedule.
As a creative person I chose a degree that would allow me to put into practice my creativity. Over the course of my degree I created several short films, radio shows, pieces of music and websites. This practical application of my skills was backed by theoretical teachings of media technologies and I have become well versed in media terminology.
If given this opportunity, I would transfer my current skills to the role with Creative Resource and strive to achieve the goals of the team. I am very enthusiastic, forward thinking and pragmatic in the way I approach tasks and am confident I can be an innovative and reliable addition to the company.
