Benjamin Rusasa(Director): Benjamin Shimwa, is a Malawian-Canadian writer, director, and editor, who seamlessly intertwines the realms of poetry and filmmaking to craft compelling narratives. Initiating his poetic journey at the age of 13, Benjamin's storytelling passion evolved into the direction of the impactful short film "Inner Sounds," a poignant exploration of human emotion that uniquely fuses poetry with visual storytelling. Contributing significantly to the cinematic landscape, Benjamin has lent his creative prowess to notable projects such as the thought-provoking shorts "Crashed" and "As I Lay Still." These ventures showcase his versatility and ability to traverse diverse themes through the medium of film. Beyond individual achievements, Benjamin actively engages in fostering emerging talent.
