About me

I have a 2:1 degree in Philosophy from the University of the West of England. My time doing this degree helped me develop skills based in research, logic-based thinking, communication, and critical-thinking. I am currently studying a Masters of Research in Social Science. Because of this, I'm educated in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, the ethics of research, research applications, etc. I am expected to graduate with a 2:1, and have been able to pursue this degree despite the circumstances with Covid-19.

I worked for Tesco for nearly 5 years: from my last year of Sixth Form up until the middle of my Masters degree. Although I learned that retail isn't for me, it gave me the social skills in a job space that I know that I can apply anywhere.

I want, more than anything, to be able to use my degrees in a job that I can feel satisfied in. I want to work in Bristol because the city feels like home, and I know that a comfortable and familiar environment leads to better work. I may not have much experience outside of my degrees, but I know I can more than make up for it with my adaptable attitude and ability to learn quickly.

On a personal level, I have a terrible sense of humour and am liable to try and get on with everybody I meet, if only so they might laugh at my jokes/puns even in pity. I love the right kind of social events and being involved. Hopefully most people I know would describe me as affable and easygoing, a trait which I know belies how competitive and determined I actually am.
