About me
Dear Sir / Madame:
I graduated from The University of Salford, with a 2:1 Bachelors degree in Interior Design. Since graduating in May 2008, I have gained a working knowledge of the commercial design industry, working at BSC Group on apartment hotels, DD exhibitions and also Dynamic Smoke Control. I am very skilled in computer software, using programs such as Auto Cad, 3D Max, Sketch up, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I have a great eye for design and detail as I enjoy researching and developing my design knowledge on a regular basis, keeping up to date with technologies within the design industry, this is very important to me and my designs as it can mean success or failure. Whilst working at BSC I was given the opportunity to express my ideas and show my true ability, working with my ideas from concept to reality, seeing my ideas come to life has given me the drive to become a successful designer and so I hope to succeed with in the design industry. Working for DD exhibitions I was able too express my design skills in 3d max, showing clients my design ideas.
My skills involve leadership qualities, analytical communication. My last employment, gave me the opportunity to work within the Smoke Ventilation industry as a design engineer. I assisted clients with problems arising from their site, doing site visits, rewriting method statements, sorting out orders and general duties to maintain the upkeep on the sites I was working on. As a result, I played an active role within the team and was proactive when it came to problem solving. Within my role as a design engineer I also had to manage the drawing system and make sure all drawings where up to date and issued to the correct people.
My ability to work well as part of team also related to my success within this group. These attributes, combined with my enthusiasm to learn, were essential to my contributions and success during my time at Dynamic Smoke Control.
