About me
I have a traditional background in art studying traditional illustration at University. Over the last 10 years I have specialised in using computers to produce my work, including graphics, 2D/3D illustration and web design. I have good experience of using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and Lightwave 3D (see my C.V. for full list)
These skills have helped me to produce work for major clients such as Queen Mary university, Oxfam, NFU (National Farmers Union) Ella Doran Design
My current full time position is working as a senior Illustrator for the artist Ben Johnson. The project I'm working on is a commission for the National Museums of Liverpool and Liverpool Culture Company. I have been working on the project for the past 2-½ years as part of a 3-person team producing a highly detailed drawing of Liverpool City centre and the outlaying city. The drawings are produced in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, using thousands of photos as reference. The drawings will be the basis for a 16ft by 8ft painting painted by Ben Johnson of the city of Liverpool which will be hung in the Walker Gallery and then when built will be moved to the new Museum of Liverpool Life. This panoramic painting of Liverpool will be a central focal point for the city for the 2008 European City of Culture.
