About me
During my time at university I specialised in Assistant Directing and Editing, also learning visual effects through After Effects and Cinema 4D. Since then I have worked on a total of nine feature films as a production assistant.
I am now looking to step into visual effects full time as it is an art form I have been passionate about for many years and something I enjoy learning about and practicing in my free time. My experience on set as a production assistant has given me great insight of the skills required of a runner/PA and my roles as a first assistant director give me an edge when it comes to quick, logistical and intuitive thinking.
My roles as an editor and VFX supervisor have given me the technical know-how of how to process media, organise footage, plan for coverage and, perhaps most importantly, how to correctly light green screens. It has been a great creative outlet. I have worked on VFX ranging from creating smooth scene transitions to full scenes of Earth from space using a combination of NASA images, footage from the ISS and 3D models.
I am sharp, enthusiastic, organised and friendly, having no problem putting the needs of a team before my own. I am keen to take the first steps into the visual effects industry and feel my skills would be well suited to a role in the VFX department, from on set to post production. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with industry proffesionals and learn more about the artform.
