I am an accomplished financial writer, and before that a travel writer. Taking complex themes and simplifying, without dumbing down, is an everyday skillset.

S&P Global has huge exposure to investors, and as such I have the experience to transition to an investment writer role at a fund.

After analyzing my own career path, as well as seeking advice from friends who have already shifted from journalism to fund writing, I have decided that it is the direction of travel for me.

The main theme now, and in years to come, is clearly ESG.

Investors want ESG metrics on their portfolios, and companies, large and small, need to be on board. Lip service is no longer an option.

By leverage my skillsets, and global contact book, I believe I can drive huge success in the role.

It's one thing being able to write, but you also need to understand what drives the fund business. I believe I can do this.

As well as market intelligence I work across media; hosting podcasts, videos, writing long and short form and understanding the importance of a clear social media voice.

I collaborate across S&P Global business units, as well as working on marketing projects.

Alongside writing I am also an excellent relationship manager, with both internal and external stakeholders.
