About me

In July 2009, I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) in Multimedia Computing, which was a 3 year degree course. As you can see from my CV, I have experience using Adobe Illustrator CS3, Fireworks, QuarkXpress and Dreamweaver. I also use Microsoft Publisher to produce magazines, leaflets and business cards. My university project required me to develop a Multimedia Package to teach Java. This involved using Flash MX 2004 to produce animation, sound and interactive multiple-choice quizzes. Adobe Photoshop was used to create the graphics for sections of this project. These programs increased the attractiveness, vitality and accessibility for my work. In my current role as a voluntary Graphic Designer for a youth centre, I am required to produce graphics for their social network website. I also maintain the content of the website on a regular basis updating weekly meetings and events. As well as my skills in Graphic Design, this role highlights my organisational and communication skills.Graphic Design is essential to daily life in society. Graphics is a way to communicate the client's message with a high visual impact, using images to symbolise words or phrases. Transforming words into graphics allows me to use creativity and develop my knowledge, as well as challenging my capability in Graphic Design. I feel I will be a great asset to your company as I am enthusiastic, willing to learn and self-motivated which are important for a business to work effectively. I believe my friendly character along with my drive for graphic design will make me the ideal candidate. In addition, I work to the best of my ability to complete tasks to the highest standard and maintain a professional approach to working. I am available to start work immediately.
