About me

I am a communication designer from Brisbane, living in London and looking to further my creative development as a digital / UI designer.

I spent the past two years graduating from a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Communication Design) whilst also setting up a working design studio, Cocoon Industries, with two partners. It was an amazing experience to kickstart my career; working with clients and brands that we cared about. As a result of this, I remain fresh and hopeful about design as a tool to improve our environments.

During my time as the Account Director at Cocoon, I managed budgets, timelines, accounts and clients while also flexing my design muscles designing both print and interactive media. Being a startup, we wore many hats (basically all of them). I also spent a great deal of time setting up the company's workflow and procedures which are currently still being utilised.

I oversaw projects from conception through to completion; and worked closely with a myriad of talented artists perfecting their craft, from letterpressers and photographers to programmers and illustrators. I believe that campaigns are best realised for their potential when working across disciplines; drawing on different experiences and perspectives.

I am driven by the message and I work to integrate design thinking with new channels to attract, inspire and motivate people to respond to messages positively. My skills range from typography, illustration, digital design and visual identity to tangible media, user interface and experience.
