About me

Hi! I'm Becky, a recent furniture and product design graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a passion for meaningful design. As a furniture designer, I strive to create products which are simple, bold and beautifully honest; products with a playfulness about them in order to develop a relationship between user and product. I have always had a keen and passionate eye for design and detail but other interests include music, cooking and fitness.

I am an enthusiastic, hard-working and positive individual who is looking to find her way into the industry. With three years at University plus a placement year and other various work experience I have been able to learn, develop and establish a set of multi-disciplinary skills suitable for a range of roles.

I carried out my industrial placement at Alice Made This, a British company specialising in accessories and jewellery for men and women. As an intern in a small, rapidly growing design business I had the opportunity to get involved in a vast range of projects within both the business and creative sides of the company.

In June 2019 my degree show took place where I was selected to take both my final year projects to New Designers in July 2019
