About me

I am currently in my final semester of my English/TEFL degree at Coventry University, and am looking for a proofreading or assistant editorial job in which I can showcase my skills. I have had experience, over the last six years, of proofreading for publishers, Masters students and at The Air Ambulance Service in Coventry, where I volunteer part-time as an assistant editor.

I have a very strong eye for detail and an excellent knowledge of English spelling, grammar and punctuation. I make spotting errors my life, and love attempting to create the perfect piece of work. I've regularly been recommended by friends and Masters students for proofreading, and I am on target for getting a 1st or a 2:1 in my degree. I attribute both of these points largely to having a perfectionist attitude. Tact in knowing when to flag up issues and when not to, in proofreading, I feel is a very important part of the job, as is being able to work efficiently to deadlines, of which I have had much experience.
