About me

In regards to the Digital Marketing Executive position currently advertised please find attached a copy of my CV as an application.

I've been working in the online environment in one capacity or another for 10 years now and hands on digital marketing for 7 years. I've most recently been working a contract position at Bailey & Stone, helping a new small business with their digital marketing strategy and implementation of SEO, PPC, Analytics, Website UX and Social Media content.

Previous to this I worked as Online Marketing Executive for the international educational brand Kaplan Test Prep.

At Kaplan I was responsible for the running and optimisation of the PPC campaigns via Google AdWords and created landing pages for campaigns and implementing on and off site SEO. I was also responsible for looking at the web metrics in Google Analytics, running A/B landing page tests, and setting up goals & events, as well as making sense of the data to create a monthly web metrics report the showed findings in the data and suggested tests / improvements to run going forward. This was shown to the London team as well as Head of Marketing and the Vice President in Paris and New York respectively.

Previously I worked a 16-month fixed-term contract position for International luxury hotel, train and cruise company, Orient-Express (now called Belmond). During that time as part of a small web team we updated the full suite of 280+ websites to HTML5 responsive design sites. I also created the newsletter and web banner graphics using Photoshop as well as being responsible for the images and graphics on the websites, SEO, PPC and Keyword Research, and creating monthly analytic reports for my line manager (Head of Digital) and the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

I'm passionate about digital marketing and the wider marketing mix. While I've many years experience I also consider when I moved to London a 'career change' and I I'm eager to work with people I can learn from about marketing and the wider company culture. I'm a keen learner and paid for myself to graduate from the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) with a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing. I have also just gained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) and Hubspot Inbound Certification.

I feel I am a strong team player and I'm use to working closely with a range of different people, from marketing colleagues or other departments, right up to CEO level, stakeholders, and external agencies. But when it's called upon I can work independently and make confident decisions if necessary, including handling and prioritising busy workloads under pressure and to strict deadlines.
