About me
I am a PhD anthropologist, a photographer, and in both of these practices empathy is the driving word. I love to hear and document people's stories and for that I have developed a vast expertise in qualitative research. More specifically, I use ethnography for the collection of data, in which participant observation, interviews, focus groups play a particularly significant role. I left academia to apply skills to design & business and I love to learn. I am a fluent speaker of English and Spanish and native Portuguese.
I have been a photographer for several research projects funded by the European Research Council and to NGOs such as the Promundo Institute, visually inquiring into themes such as disability studies, social housing, reproductive health, oncology, and men engagement in fatherhood.
I love surfing, traveling and a good walk (with my camera, of course).
