About me

I graduated from London College of Printing - London Institute (renamed to London College of Communications - Academy of Arts) with a BA (Hons) Photography through media contextual studies in 1999.

After graduation I produced - on a voluntary basis - the training/course brochure for Queensland Multi-Media Arts Centre in North London.

Between August 02 and November 04, at the post of the Communications Administrator for Coin Street Community Builders I was responsible for:

- publicity and promotional material updated monthly to market exhibitions, events and festivals on the South Bank area, producing copy, selecting images and design briefs to designers in line with the companies' (Coin Street Secondary Housing, Oxo Tower Wharf, Gabriel's Wharf, The Thames Festival and Coin Street Festival) marketing 'identity'

- setting budgets for marketing expenditure

- contracting designers and maintaining the displays on site

- briefing, contracting and working closely with photographers to expand and improve image database

- contracting relevant representatives for special events i.e. charities for Refugee Day launch, community organization representatives

- producing press releases and mail-outs to local, national and international media, managing and developing the press contacts database and photo library, liaising with journalists, organizing interviews and press launches, co-ordinating setting up, staffing and de-rig of the.gallery@oxo, 115.oxo, The Bargehouse and Bernie Spain Gardens exhibitions, seminars and graduate shows.

For Art in the Park and Stonecrabs Theatre Productions I have been responsible for:

- producing copy and selecting images for posters, annual and project reports

- promoting training and workshop opportunities to local community through developing membership to relevant organizations and forums, advertising in community and voluntary organizations and the local authority.

With The Title and Temple Arts Group, I contributed to the development of Kiosk and Incubator (in collaboration with Metro New Media) cd-roms through a working focus group involving artists, designers and teachers in the designing process.
