I am writing in regards to the position of social media manager.

My experience and education of working with print publication, broadcast, and social media at The University of West Georgia make me a well-qualified candidate for this position. At West Georgia I wrote for The West Georgian where many of my articles were published. While at university I also wrote a newsletter for the College of Social Sciences introducing the new College of Social Sciences. It was also at The University of West Georgia that I gained experience in television work and had the opportunity to anchor the college's local news station which led me to my first internship at The Chat Room, a talk show based out of Atlanta. After learning various techniques of communications in college I gained experience while working at companies such as Penn Multimedia, a SEO Marketing company, where I wrote blogs and press releases. I furthered my work experience at Barking Dog Media as a community manager writing for client's Facebook and Twitter. After completing my internships at both Penn Multimedia and Barking Dog Media I began to write at Aspire Online Media, an online and print magazine which featured many of my articles in the arts and entertainment section.

My most recent employment was at the social media firm, Pipeline Social Media Solutions. It was there that I handled Facebook and Twitter entirely for clients, including updating statuses, replying and answering all comments, and keeping the Facebook or Twitter active. While social media was my focus I also learned how to become a proficient writer in blogs and writing copy such as biographies for the clients.
