About me

I am a broadcast producer, writer and journalist, TV and radio host and commentator, and media marketing and press manager.

I am currently working as Head of Media Center at the Royal Commission Yanbu Colleges & Institutes (RCYCI) () in Saudi Arabia. RCYCI is a group of five engineering and management colleges under the umbrella of the Royal Commission () - a prestigious project launched by HRH, the late King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia in 1979. I am responsible for promoting and marketing the RCYCI programs and image through various media platforms like video, audio, print, and social media. One of my latest promotional videos was posted by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) () on their homepage, giving international exposure to RCYCI programs.

I am a writer; one of my articles was published recently in UToday - the online magazine of the University of Calgary, Canada (). As Chief Editor, I publish The Ro'yah (The Vision) newspaper at RCYCI.

A passionate broadcast producer and presenter, my international experience includes working with top television channels like ESPN Star Sports (Singapore and India), and TEN Sports (Dubai, UAE).

I led a team of around 800 paid staff and volunteers as Main Press Center Manager at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. I and my team catered to international journalists who came to cover 6,081 athletes from 71 Commonwealth nations competing in 21 sports and 272 events. The Delhi Commonwealth Games were the largest to date.

My well rounded and comprehensive skills include leading, training and motivating team members; as well as shooting and editing videos.

When I am not behind or in front of the camera or on the internet I can be spotted snorkeling in the Red Sea or on the tennis court.

An Indian citizen, I am also bit of a globetrotter, having spent time in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Istanbul, Phuket, and Dubai. Currently I live in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, and I am fortunate to have a wonderful wife and a smart son.

A foodie to the core, I am always cool as a cucumber since I know 'stressed' spelled backwards is desserts :)
