About me
Having a love for creative writing is a wonderful thing, however, rather unfortunately, it isn't the easiest past-time to turn into a career.
I have recently completed my joint honours degree in English Literature with Creative Writing, at the University of Derby. This programme allowed me to combine my love of studying and researching the written word, with creating my own written worlds. I highly enjoyed my time on this course, and took full advantage of researching new theories, writers and crafting my own work. However, I found that it was not enough for me.
In between the summer and winter breaks I took full advantage of opportunities that were presented to me; I wrote copy and articles for a number of online magazines. These opportunities provided me with vital experience; it allowed me to see how the industry worked first hand. Not only did it show me how to shape my writing for different audience, but it also presented me with other interesting experiences.
