About me
To whom it may concern,
With over three years' experience working for prestigious companies - in The Economist and the Daily Telegraph - I have a proven record in meeting the high standards demanded within these sort of institutions. Therefore I feel I could slot in at SapientNitro and produce quality content to further the brand.
I am completely comfortable with writing and delivering content which is open to the scrutiny of millions of users online. The expectations for the standard of copy published at The Economist and the Daily Telegraph is the highest - with no margin for error. Therefore I have a severely keen eye for detail which I feel would serve me well in this role.
One of the key elements that has spread across my career is the need to write succinct and compelling copy. How to sell an Economist article on the infallibility of free markets in 140 characters on Twitter
As well as posting to social media accounts, I have written for The Telegraph's website. The aim is always to create original content that is inherently shareable for a social audience. I have also taken on the role of sub-editor for colleagues' copy. These skills could be transferred into the new role allowing me to thrive at the company.
When writing for The Telegraph, I have worked on articles of varying styles: from straight news to comical reaction pieces. I believe this ability to adapt tone of voice when writing would be an essential skill in this role, as the successful applicant will be working across many different clients.
Many thanks,
Arthur
