About me

I am a graduate of the University of Leeds, where I achieved a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Art Practice in July 2007. I have always had a passion for and a keen interest in art and have been making it for the past nine years. I was first attracted to your company by the opportunity it would give me of applying my artistic abilities to the business environment.

On 23rd June of this year, I completed a part-time ABC Award in Design & Layout Skills, which involved working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark, and which built on skills I had gained through my university degree. Through this course, I now have a firm grounding in all three software programs, and, among other things, I can now create logos, posters, leaflets, triptychs and advertisements. I have a portfolio of work, which is available on request.

My university artwork involved photo-realistic oil paintings, which required close attention to detail, patience, and a disciplined work ethic.

I am highly proficient in Microsoft Office and use of the Internet, both for research and social networking.

Working in maintenance at YourStudentHomes.com has taught me valuable communication and people skills. I daily dealt with tenants, landlords and workmen, responding to their demands and coming up with solutions to meet them. I have also improved my organisation skills, having to take and make calls, answer and send emails, log maintenance issues and input valuable documents into a computer system.
