Antonios' work
About Antonios
Dear sir or Madam
I am a Graphic Design Graduate at UCA Epsom looking to work in the design industry, in order to develop on my current skills and knowledge of this sector. Going to University has enabled me to effectively prioritise work and manage various projects at once due to the many deadlines I have within a small time constraint. My degree covers various modules including; packaging design, web design, video production, and ethnographic research and branding. I have experience working on programmes such as; Adobe creative suite, 3DS Mac, and processing In order to complete the various projects I am set. I am a very creative individual, who is keen to develop new skills and was very committed to my degree ensuring I completed all projects to the best of my ability in order to establish a strong portfolio and recognition to the design industry.
Due to the type of degree I was studying for, I gained some work experience at Cent Magazine, in order to start building a creative portfolio and gain a greater understanding of the industry. Here my role included; designing a page spread layout which met the style guide and theme of the issue, collaborating ideas with other members of the team in order to generate a presentable design, talking to freelance designers on the phone selling design space and working on the computer to produce the magazine, My time in this role provided an insight in to the preparation of designing and producing a magazine and allowed me to use my creativity to develop my ideas. Working with other designers has pushed me even further to pursue my ambition to become a graphic designer, as I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and developed my knowledge in some critical areas which are key in any design role.
Recently I undertook work experience at Ted Baker head office in London as a design assistant. Within this position I assisted senior designers in creating unique environments for new Ted stores, whilst also adapting my own concepts to ongoing projects. I contacted suppliers sourcing items for new stores but also created products to be used in forthcoming stores. Regularly having to liaise with senior members of the team I had to create layouts for new stores and present these ideas to the team. Alongside my degree I also work part-time in a shop. My experience gained here could be beneficial in any other role as I have the ability to work on my own as well as in a team and in a fast paced busy environment. I always have to give amazing customer service when dealing with a range of customers, effectively communicating with them to ensure they receive the right order.
Thank you for taking the time to look through my application, I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
