About me

Before I went to university I knew it would be a good idea to gain some valuable work experience in areas that I would later be interested at perusing a career in. I applied for a Year In Industry placement, and found a great company 'Snell & Wilcox' to work as part of their marketing department for a year. This taught me the discipline of working in an office environment and working relationships, as well as a world of knowledge about their products and their global presence. I continued to have an Interested in how brands of a company identifies and communicates itself, so I took a 3-year course in Creative Advertising at the University of Gloucestershire. This was a great course that showed me not only the world of advertising but also how brands are created and what is important to the client. After my studies were over, a university colleague and myself started our own freelance agency 'Mook Creative' and completed a campaign for the Hounslow district council. We wanted to travel, but we understood the importance of getting into the industry quickly, so we decided to combine both travel and work experience, something that proved very clever at the time, as unemployment and layoffs were hitting record highs. We travelled to India, with a secured two placements in Advertising agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi Mumbai and Grey Mumbai. It was a great 5 months where we made some great friends and worked with some great clients. After the time was up I continued to travel round the whole of India and venture into Nepal, amazing! Now I am back in England looking for the chance to further my career working on brands and making them flourish.
