About me

We are becoming a visually led civilisation where what we see is more important, or at the very least as important as what we read. Traditional media such as papers, books and television has been taken over by information technology. You can now read a book, watch TV or read a newspaper/magazine with just a few simple clicks without leaving the comfort of home.

The change from the physical to the virtual is here to stay so as an artist I chose to embrace this rather than fight it. Over ninety percent of my work is digital, the only time it has been in the 'real' world is when I first photographed/videoed it. I am a mass of 1's and 0's in the virtual multi-space universe of the internet.

My philosophy is about bringing a heightened or 'super' reality into my work. Nothing disappoints me more than images that aren't real purporting to be 'real'. Look in any magazine or newspaper and you will be greeted with image after image that is supposedly 'real', but in actual fact they have been altered.

So how is this any different fro my work
