About me

I am a communications professional with twelve years experience spanning the private and public sectors. I have a naturally engaging style and work well with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders. I am skilled at identifying and addressing the needs of customers, delivering what is promised to time and target and exceeding their expectations where possible.

I am a creative thinker and quick learner who likes to find ways to do things differently. I am particularly excited by new and existing technologies and the opportunities they create. I am able to co-ordinate ideas from brief to production which engage and influence audiences.

I have good self awareness and sensitivity towards others which means that I work well as part of a team. I am also a self-starter and am equally confident in working individually on a project.

I have experience of a wide range of communications tools and excellent technical skills, including knowledge of publishing and web software. Additionally, I have experience of producing communications products, co-ordinating channels and technologies, relationship management and helping to develop integrated campaigns.

During this process I built strong working relationships with my clients. I was known for my excellent professionalism and can do attitude. I pushed my self to exceed their expectations and built the reputation of our communications team. This is reflected in the responses from my 360 feedback.

In September 2010, I participated in a 360 feedback exercise in which my line manager, colleagues, internal customers and senior managers were asked to rate my performance in a number of key areas. I was very pleased with the results as I was rated as distinguished against a number of criteria, including the following:
