I am very interested in the employment opportunity that I have found with your organisation. My name is Dr. Anthony Basiel and my passion for learning and development has spanned several decades. Over the past fifteen years I have focused on learning technology design, implementation and evaluation using web-based new media.

As you can see from my curriculum vitae, my knowledge, experience, skills and capabilities are supported by internationally recognised qualifications to meet your person specifications.

Notably I can provide evidence of expertise in these key areas:

 Leadership -

I have lead eLearning innovation at my university for over ten years. We were the first UK Higher Education Institution to establish a Flash Communication Server for web video conferencing back in 2004. I provided the vision needed to establish a 3 -5 year plan to move from a paper-based correspondence model curriculum to embracing eLearning systems supported by new media.

 Management -

I have managed diverse teams of academics, administrators, designers, technologists, content providers, etc. to form a common ground by which to communicate and collaborate. Projects have ranged from small in-house pilot studies to large multi-national European funded learning and development investigations run over several years. I have had a 100% completion rate.

 Applied learning to produce usable project deliverables/outcomes -

My Doctorate studies have grounded my knowledge and understanding with appropriate theory and design principles. Experience and practice have shown me the need to apply the concepts to useful outcomes. In this way innovative project deliverables are generated that can be adapted to flexible new contexts.
