Who wants plastic-wrapped flowers, throwaway vouchers or stale shortbread for Christmas? Happy Factory is the antidote to generic gifts and thoughtless cards.
Happy Factory reinvents gift hampers for the time-poor. Each quirky pack contains unique treasures sourced from all over the world. Curated with a certain someone in mind, the unwrapping experience is designed to be as delightful as the gifts. Opposing cursive truisms and frilly pink bows, our challenge was to inject vibrant colour and offbeat humour into this naughty-but-nice identity.
Initial workshops gave clarity to the brand’s personality — pop-cultured, social-media-savvy but unapologetically warm-hearted. Following this idea down the factory line, a visual language emerged from worksite signage, with a twist. Stark geometry, brazen colour and cheeky puns leave us wanting to hit the dancefloor with our hardhats on.
With a range of themed packages that simultaneously poke fun at and flatter the lucky recipient, Happy Factory gifts are all about personalisation, from the customised gift card to the sticker seals. We crafted a dynamic logo with googly eyes that follow you round and spin with frenzied excitement. Through brand workshops and user testing, we ensured a human touch was added to each step of the gifting journey.
With the launch of Instagram’s Shop feature, social media pushes were a mix of product and brand. Smiling buildings, cartoon-like staff and classic gift openings uphold the Happy Factory brand story across digital marketing channels, all the way to your door.
"The team were considered, thoughtful and comprehensive in their approach. Our feedback was acknowledged and actioned quickly, ultimately delivering the identity that you see today. Time and time again, our customers tell us how much they love our ‘clever packaging’. We have Another Colour to thank for that!" — Drew Berridge, Founder, Happy Factory
