About me
My name is Anneka, and I am a graphic designer with over five years of experience in the creative industry. My journey began with a strong foundation in fine art, where I developed a deep understanding of visual composition, color theory, and traditional techniques. This early exposure to hands-on artistic practice has shaped the way I approach design, allowing me to merge the tactile qualities of traditional art with the precision and innovation of digital tools.
Creativity has always been at the core of everything I do. I am driven by curiosity and a desire to learn, which has led me to explore a wide range of styles, mediums, and challenges throughout my career. I actively seek out opportunities that push me beyond my comfort zone, as I believe that meaningful growth often comes from unfamiliar territory. A notable example of this was during my final year of university, where I focused my entire body of work on typography, despite it being an area I initially struggled with. This experience not only expanded my technical skills but also reinforced my commitment to personal and professional development.
I approach each project with an open mind and a willingness to experiment. I believe that effective design is not just about reaching a solution but exploring multiple pathways to find the most impactful and creative outcome. I immerse myself fully in the process, whether that means researching deeply into a subject, studying cultural and artistic influences, or finding unexpected connections between ideas.
In addition to my passion for design, I have a personal interest in environmental themes, particularly ocean preservation. One of my long-term goals is to create an immersive exhibition space that combines visual storytelling with educational and environmental impact, using design as a tool for awareness and change.
