About me
To Whom It May Concern,
I have now had over 5 years of fashion and writing experience, having mostly worked as a blogger, content manager and writer for my own site Stylist And The City. *, interviewing and liaising with many different companies, PRs and individuals to market their product and/or brand.
In 2010, I studied Creative Writing at the London School of Journalism and I'm currently building up a portfolio separate to that of my website by writing creative articles for Huffington Post UK. You can view my profile here: *, where I provide content rich features for the website's blog.
My life previously to London was based in Sydney where I spent my time studying Marketing and training for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, a dream which ended in my 8th placing at the Olympic Swimming Trials. My passion and commitment for the sport remains today and I accredit the principles of perseverance and discipline with my successful career in fashion.
I am also now an ambassador for the Rod Aldridge Foundation, a foundation created to help inspire young entrepreneurs in low socio-economic circumstances in the fields of art and sport.
I recently worked as an e commerce manager for a small UK cosmetics company where I actively devised, created and managed all aspects of the website as well as all social media marketing tools to ensure a consistent voice of brand. Until recently, I was also contracted to write weekly fashion trend related copy for picture giant Big Pictures with a focus on internationally well known celebrities.
I am looking for a dynamic, fun and inspired work environment where my copywriting skills and ability to influence can best be utilised. While I have experience across broad range of subject matter, this position would give me an opportunity to learn and gain a specific understanding of the tools used in digital copywriting - something I am very passionate about pursuing for the future.
I use most social media applications including Facebook, Twitter, Polyvore, Pinterest and have a good working knowledge of design applications such as Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Indesign and Dreamweaver. I also have a basic level of HTML, SEO, CMS and affiliate advertising.
If this sounds like a good fit for your advertised role then I'd love to hear from you. I have attached my CV for your perusal.
Regards,
Anne.
