About me

I was Art Director at Pan Macmillan Books for 18 years, overseeing a team of 20 designers. I was involved in all aspects of book design, including marketing and brand development. I moved from London to Oxfordshire and have now set myself up freelance. I have extensive experience of commissioning high profile globally successful illustrators and photographers. I can provide extensive experience and a passion for design. I generate fresh, exciting creative ideas in an increasingly competitive and complex environment. I have a thorough understanding of the aesthetic, content, and format strengths with the experience of handling the demands of a well-established consumer-focused publishing business. I work effectively with creative, marketing, sales, and other professionals across all levels of an organisation and balance creative integrity with business integrity and pride myself as a good communicator, professional and fun to work with.
