About me
Hi there! I am a multi-disciplinary graphic designer from Wisconsin currently working in Scotland. Skilled in layouts, branding, typography, illustration, screen printing, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in motion graphics, photography, interactive 3D models, and coding.
Growing up in rural Wisconsin, I spent my copious free time creating art and thinking outside the box as many weird little kids do. However, this remained a constant throughout my early education as art and science quickly became my favourite subjects. I excelled in high school, graduating near the top of my class with multiple achievements and honours under my belt.
You can imagine my duress when I came to Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) in Scotland and had to choose between arts and sciences. Luckily, my fascination with the natural world and creative expression landed me in the perfect position to take on my foundational year at DJCAD. Following my first year, I chose to move onto graphic design. I was attracted to the endless possibilities graphic design held which gave me an amazing opportunity to marry all my interests in unique and different ways.
I am incredibly proud to have found my footing in design and my progress after four years at university has lit a fire in me to keep learning and growing!
What I bring to design:
+ I am extremely detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
+ I am incredibly curious. I enjoy doing in depth research to find those tiny golden nuggets of knowledge
that can elevate designs and brands.
+ I am always willing and eager to learn, taking constructive criticism in stride.
+ I am a hands-on designer that is not afraid of tackling new challenges. The messier the better.
+ I enjoy all aspects of the design process and find it incredibly rewarding to see a project through from start to finish.
+ I love work that helps kind people, whether it is functional design solutions, fundraising, or just simply
raising awareness. I am thrilled any time I can use my privilege to give back, especially when I am able to
aid underrepresented groups.
+ I am always creating. Whether it is exploring a new artistic medium, some household project,
woodworking, or any other new hobby. Currently, I am growing my first sourdough starter. Wish me luck!
Overall, my favourite thing about design is getting to meet some of the most passionate, and interesting people that make working so enjoyable. That being said, let's make something amazing together!
